About Me

I thought I might put in a little bio here, so you have an idea of who the Coupon Lady is. My name is Shawna, and I live in Illinois. I'm happily married to the greatest DH a girl could possibly ask for. I have a master's degree in computer science, and I work as a web developer.

So how did I get into couponing? To be honest, I don't really recall. It was shortly after I got married. I started by doing price matching at Walmart, and that was really because I couldn't bear to think of buying things full price. Then I realized the great deals I could get at Walgreens and CVS, and the beauty of printable coupons! And finally, I found hotcouponworld.

I'm not your average couponer. Both DH and I work full time. We don't have any kids, or even pets for that matter. But I think it's good stewardship to make our money go as far as we can. The less we spend on our everyday needs, the more money we have to give away.
