October Summary

Wow, 2009 is rapidly drawing to a close. It hardly seems possible. October was a crazy month. We had one of the rainiest Octobers on record here in central IL. I think they said it was the second rainiest since they've been keeping track. And I believe it. It seemed like it rained just about every day! Between Halloween candy and attending a bunch of parties, I found myself spending more than I usually do... So how'd October end up:

Total Grocery OOP: $68.16
Average weekly spending: $17.04
Total grocery savings: $51.25

Yeah, spent more than I saved again. Oh well, it happens. We're stocked up on Hunts spaghetti sauce until about the end of time, so all told, it was a pretty good month. Spent more per week than I would have liked, but that's ok. The end of the year tends to be more expensive, for some reason or another.

Can I ask you a question about County Market? Is it easy to use the coupon in their Penny Saver and a Manufacturer Q or are they funny about it?

The new Penny saver from the weekend seemed to have some good priced items and I know I have Qs, so have to go digging to check it out. Wish I had more than one of the Penny Saver flyers though :D
